Age 11 and not able to go to Hogwarts

Okay, Ms. Amanda....it's time to start putting together that wonderful letter for my soon to be 11 yr old. I figure it will take till June to figure out what to say but still keep her motivated to do Hogwarts. Got any words of wisdom for this letter. I hope to be able to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter but it won't be till Labor Day weekend so......Oh how to help her dreams stay alive!

HP: Still Loving It!

Got off the phone with family this evening after talking about HP. My sister indicated that she wanted to see the new movie coming out but she wasn't sure who she would be going to see it with because....nobody in her family likes HP. I can't imagine! My kiddos would sooooo not be pleased if I told them no more HP in our house. We just received a Daily Prophet by flume mail along with a gingerbread cookie recipe from HoneyDukes Home Economics. I would be turned into something really not nice if I said no more HP in our house! The Horror!!! This Mom likes it as much as the rest of the family and I definitely know who is going to the next HP movie with me (:

Herb Gardens

Well, I guess that we are doing herb gardens at our house. Oldest got very involved in the Warrior book series and decided that we needed to do a herb garden. Dad and her went out and got some herb seeds. I handed over a herb book and told Oldest that she had to draw a picture of each herb that she is planting along with writing one way that the herb can help. I need to tie it in with Herbology. How fun!!

Seeds and chickens

Went shopping for herb, flowers and veggie seeds last weekend. Looking for a planting in pots day soon. Perhaps our Wiz Scouts should get together in March for a planting day??? Also got chicks to hatch in March. Lots of science up in the mtns this month so when can you all come up??
